INDO is siiiick

I am in Indonesia now for almost a month and started to miss our land, snow and friends. You can get new friends over here, more like meet some new people. But sometimes it is just not the thing you would like to do for the whole time.

I can' t complain on surf, because it is just great to have a swell and some breaks just infront of your door. It feels so free when you re out there and craving for the biggest one in a day, in a whole trip. But i guess i am skier just because of the one reason. Still missing some drops and pow times with buddies. That's what's keeps me going and definetly will try to shred as much as i can after 2 week when i get back home.

Indo is one big happy world...Poverty on one side and true happines of locals on the other. It is great to have them near for inspiration. Yo

We can't do great things in this world but we can do small things with great love !

So it’s time to go deep again...haha...that’s what surfers do and lately i am hanging out mostly with this branch of people...

It’ s pretty cool to wake up in the morning, have a breaky, do the morning things and than go for the waves....It is cool...but i think you can do it only for couple of months...it just gets boring...so that is exactly what i will do...

Hang out in Bali for a month and than back to Europe where i am sure the snow cap mountains will be screaming for the fresh pow...

at the moment i am sitting in a coofee bar in the middle of Bali streets...every day eating thai food,surfing and waking up in early mornings, stopped by police, bargain with them, struggling on scooter bikes on streets to get to the other side, not crowdy one...to really feel the island and the ocean...but why do i write that?...
...just because the life of a traveler / skier/ surf wannabe-er is like that...meeting new culture, taking shots and writing on a blog...

Last month in Australia was epic..after shreding on One hit wonder event i visited Clovelly side of the Sydney and print in best memories...after couples of days of surfing “i was attacked by huge white shark and got 5 stitches on my face...You should see the shark!” That’s what stories of locals are like over here...

I didn’t want to listen my girlfriends mom who is medical nurse, and went into water with those itchy stitches an black eye 2 days after incident in the white water.

Had best days and now...yeah i'm here and am wondering how will the life in the earthquake area be in the next month...unknown is ahead...let’s try to have a bit of unstressed surf life now and than for a bit back to reality life...but i am sure that that fresh pow is waiting somewhere and that soon the THE day will come...

For sure a cool sesh, throwing down some lazy things and Russ stepped it up with dub cork 12, dub cork 10 and other crazy things...That guy is on something i can tell, maybe is just Redbull and i dont consume it enough in last days i guess, but i think we gonna step up the game tomorrow for another session and there s gonna be a sunset shoot aswell...

Australia rules!

SPRING BREAK

Season is coming to the end and so many things have happened. My mind is not even able to process all those great days on snow, all those parties, all those faces,... Memory card in my head is just filled.
Despite Australian weird and unpredictable weather and shitty august, winter over here is friendly to a freestyle skier that comes down with different eye to observe...All these mini drops, ridges, pow pockets, tree logs,...so near groomed tracks...i am happy that narrow minded weekend warriors don’t throw their eye on those features...
However i am really happy to meet all those guys and girls i can share those feelings with on barbecue nights down in spring-warm Jindy.
All of us with the same motivation...as a ski instructor over here, you just want to live every day as the last one and make the best out of it. Taking the advantage not to be booked for an hour and jumping to the park, slaying some freshie or going for the biggest hit of the day into pipe. Every run counts...
At the end of the day we are pretty much destroyed, falling asleep already on a ski tube or in a car on the way back to apartment which can look like Nagasaki in WWII just because of a rough last night...Probably spending weekly payment in one of the clubs, ending hugging yourself or a girl in uniform that looks totally different than during the day in uniform with a hat and goggles on...yeeeaaah... closer the end of season is, wilder the girls get in this 3months lasting sausage festival...
Ski hard, party hard...that motto is common to group of my buddies who have motivation also for some filming and shooting...because of pretty good snow and bluebird day we decided to share some of the shots here on my blog...
Here are some shots to see how the day looks like by waking up at 4.45 with ‘stoke alarm clock’ and going up the mountain in the back of utility vehicle... Enjoy!


















I was also 4th on big air finals of Thredbo freeride series, got robbed little bit and now i am waiting for King of mountain event in Perisher and One hit wonder event in Thredbo on a 90ft. kicker...

AUSSIE part 2

I am sitting at a coffee shop in town that is situated almost on the other side of the world and am feeling like home...wondering why is that so? Is that a vibe mates over here are filling me with every morning, is it a special person that comes by when i am wondering what i am gonna eat in evenings, is it a lake glaring in a morning sunlight, untouched flora just few meters from my front door?...

...not alone but still lonely, wishing my friends and people i care about a lot would be able to share those feelings with me every single day... that fresh snow that is splashing around when skiing fast in early mornings on the mountain, an orange sunset when coming of the mountain, animals chewing their daily piece of wide pastures...

...few weeks ago i was talking with a guy that said that Australian students over here can be very lucky to get this opportunity to share those things...what am i than? super lucky? i guess... in only good month staying over here i’ve met so many warm people that wish me all the best every second, saw so many things i don’t even know if i will be able to see again, shared those special moments by the lake, near football field, in movies, in small room in apartment, on a big snow carpet, ... every second is worth to wake up early and go to bed in late hours...

...some details mean so much if u see them with a bright eye...

...even a view from apartment can be better if u turn your head for couple of degrees...


...there is so much behind of first impression and every single thing has a reason to exist...
...even an action isn’t just random...
...it cannot be just a luck!...

it's been a long time since i've last wrote something on blog...pretty much because since i got here in Australia i haven't got a day off and internet is soooo slow...

I am having a big fun over here...non stop instructing, riding cool medium sized park, hang out with cool people, having a blast on parties, chillin by the lake...u name it, Jindy has it...

after coming off a 23 hour flight and directly into 6hour drive with bus i settled down quickly with 7 house mates...

...ride through national park offer best views in the morning...i like watching kangy's...
...and a view on a lake...i wish i was on a BoAT...hahaha

oh yeah btw...yesterday was my birthday party...good times

STILL WORKING BEFORE LEAVING SLOVENIA
Before leaving Slovenia it is so much work still to do...getting into skiing mode, satisfying sponsors, getting my body healed up after a crash on bmx and cracked pelvius- bone that holds bot hips, hanging out with buddies i won't see till November,...

2 days ago i've been invited to do a show for Slovenian turist conference that was held in one of the most fancy hotels in Slovenia... Habakuk hotel in Maribor held our show in their own backyard by the pool in almost summer conditions

...the whole thing wasn't big, but looking cool enough...
