Red Bull Playstreets - the sickest event in Europe

In my 4 years career, this year i had the first chance to go on one of the biggest events in the world. Red Bull Playstreets!!!

It is the event where you can let your self go totaly free, have a really good time, party, go big on the course, hang out with friends, drink liters and liters of Red bull, have everything what you want in your life...

The exposure is huge and the course even bigger...Trust me ... it looks way easier on TV!

This year setup started with a crowd drop from a 10m high roof top straight into trees where corner was waiting to blow you high at least 4 meters and show you to 10000+ head crowd cheering you up...In this time you were so pumped to put all the effort and pump into the corner's landing to get a speed for big air kicker that blow you directly in the middle of Bad Gastein's heart. After spoting a landing you had to do a good speed check, because your next move was to drop of a road step down through a really narrow part of the city...after surviving that you 'just' had to slide a box on top of the roof of Jagerhausl restaurant...Easy as that!

Warm up session and 3 practice runs day before isn't that much rider would expect, but if you want to be on top of the game you have to put all in and step it up. I had decked a kicker 3 times a day before and overshooted a step down road gap so i had to change my tactics and decide to not do a 270 on a corner to maintain the speed for the kicker ( i'm a short and light). after doing 5 with true nose poke and landed switch i also had to jump the same drop, i crashed on the day before ending in the concrete house with my head, with a cab 3 and revert before the box. On the box all of the guys were doing the same thing, some switch ups and normal off's, so i decided to do a switch up and pretzel od which was the most scary move i made on rails before...I couldn't see anything, just felt the end of a box and landed switch on a steep landing into finish area!...feeling??? dont ask me that....it was blowing my head off, so excited i was.

I ended up on 15th out of 20th best invited riders from all over the world and proud to represent Slovenia as a first freeskier on a such event.

Bad gastein i will come back and take it back from you next year as well!
